Myia Dorsey

Myia Dorsey is an American Speech -Language-Hearing-Association-certified speech language pathologist, licensed in the state of Kentucky. She has experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, schools, inpatient rehab, and long-term acute care.
Myia began her career at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in 2023. She is competent in treating and assessing children and adults with a variety of speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders. She has previous training specific to adults with acquired traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury. In addition, she is a SPEAC-IT Grant recipient in which she attended seminars presented by experts in the field of communication disorders on services to learners with severe disabilities. She collaborated in problem solving of communication challenges for learners in the EDS (special education) scholars’ classrooms in the school setting.
She joined Easterseals Bluegrass in March of 2025 to blend her two interests of complex care and pediatric populations. Additional areas of interest include pediatric brain injury, complex communication needs in pediatric populations, successful transition from inpatient to community, and risk factors for the school to prison pipeline.
