Creative Beginnings

Welcome to Creative Beginnings Child Development Center!

Creative Beginnings is a pro-social program, which encourages development through interactions and activities with peers. Each day the schedule offers a wide variety of activities that include rhythm, music, art, literature, physical education and creative movement. Our curriculum also includes play. Through play, a child finds joy and prepares for the next step of development.

Mission

The mission of Creative Beginnings is first and foremost to provide high-quality child care and education to families in the community. Secondly, Creative Beginnings strives for excellence in program and service and positions itself as a model of best practice for early care and education in the wider community.

Philosophy

Creative Beginnings will provide a nurturing environment for our students.

The goal is to create a safe environment where a child receives love, security, acceptance, values, self-control, independence, protection and guidance. We want to provide an environment where teachers earnestly try to involve a child in the excitement of learning.

The curriculum of each class rests upon the vital objective of helping a child to develop a positive self-image. A wide variety of experiences are planned so that each child has opportunities for success.

The program develops the total child by addressing individual needs of social, emotional, physical and mental skills.

Commitment Statement

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and creative learning environment for children. The children are engaged in a play-centered environment designed for the particular group served. All activities throughout the day are considered learning opportunities including separating and returning with the family, eating meals, caring for one’s self and the classroom, resting and interacting with other children and adults. The curriculum is designed to promote the skills and dispositions necessary for success in life including school and community participation. The guidance methods give attention to the needs and differences of the individual children enrolled. All staff members participate in ongoing training provided by state and local agencies as well as professional in-services at the center.

High Quality Child Care

A child’s environment and social experience in their first three years of life is critical to their brain development and can have a decisive, long-lasting impact on their well-being and ability to learn. For many parents, this is enough to make finding high-quality child care a top priority. Creative Beginnings responds to the needs and concerns of parents with children of all abilities.

Creative Beginnings offers inclusive programs for typical learners as well as children with special needs. Our full day, twelve month services provide quality early education and care in developmentally appropriate learning environments that have small teacher to child ratios and highly qualified staff. Each day, children learn through a wide variety of activities that include rhythm, music, art, literature, physical education, and creative movement. We are also a pro-social program, encouraging development through interactions and activities with peers. Childcare provides for the total child by addressing individual needs of social, emotional, physical, and mental development for a child 6 weeks – 5 years of age.
